APC Symmetra platforms use modular UPS architecture so supported systems can be configured for capacity and redundancy using compatible power, intelligence and battery components.
Wallco may list Symmetra RM, LX and related Symmetra components within this manufacturer branch. These generations are not interchangeable, so the exact frame and model family must be identified before selecting power modules, batteries, bypass panels or accessories.
A Symmetra design should define the required output power, redundancy target such as N+1, voltage, runtime, frame capacity, bypass arrangement and service strategy.
Modularity allows a supported Symmetra frame to use multiple power or battery modules, but each frame has defined electrical and mechanical limits. Adding modules can increase capacity or redundancy only within the architecture supported by that specific frame.
Service bypass is also system-specific. APC documentation distinguishes bypass panels by Symmetra family, voltage and wiring arrangement, which is why bypass equipment must be selected by model rather than simply by amp rating.
N is the module capacity required to support the load; +1 adds an extra supported module so the system can maintain the load if one module is unavailable, within the design limits of the frame.
Do not assume interchangeability. Battery systems and modules are specific to the supported Symmetra platform and configuration.
