Motor-control accessories expand, repair or adapt contactors, overload relays and starter assemblies. Depending on the product family, accessories can add auxiliary signaling contacts, provide remote reset capability, support panel mounting or replace damaged operating components.
These components are rarely universal. Parts that appear similar may differ in mounting tabs, terminal positions, contact arrangements, frame dimensions or operating mechanisms. Compatibility should be confirmed using the complete manufacturer and series information.
Important Selection Factors
- Manufacturer and series: Match the accessory to the exact product family.
- Frame size: Contactors and overload relays may use different accessories at different current or frame sizes.
- Accessory function: Confirm whether the part is an auxiliary contact, reset component, handle, mounting part or terminal accessory.
- Contact arrangement: For auxiliary contacts, verify the required normally open and normally closed configuration.
- Mounting position: Some accessories install on the front, side or top of a specific device.
- Electrical rating: Confirm the accessory contact rating and control-circuit requirements when applicable.
