110 Cross-Connect Systems

110 wiring blocks provide high-density termination and cross-connect points for twisted-pair communications cable. They are widely used in telecommunications rooms, structured-cabling installations and voice or data distribution systems where individual pairs must be organized and accessible.

50-, 100- and Higher-Pair Wiring Blocks

110 blocks are available in several pair capacities to support installations ranging from small telecommunications closets to higher-density distribution systems. Choose capacity according to the number of cable pairs being terminated while allowing practical space for routing and future expansion.

Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A 110 Blocks

Selected 110 systems are designed for specific structured-cabling performance categories. Where a network installation requires Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 6A performance, use compatible cable, connecting blocks and related components throughout the channel.

Wall-Mount and Rack-Mount Designs

Traditional 110 blocks may mount directly to walls or backboards, while rack-mount assemblies integrate the cross-connect field into standard equipment racks. Verify available space, pair capacity and cable-routing requirements before selecting the mounting format.

Connecting Blocks, Kits and Telco Interfaces

110 systems may use separate connecting blocks, mounting legs, labeling accessories or preconfigured block kits. Some assemblies also transition the 110 field to multipair telco connectors for PBX, voice and distribution applications.

Selecting 110 Cross-Connect Hardware

Determine the required pair capacity and Category rating first, then compare mounting style, connecting-block configuration and any telco-interface requirements. Confirm conductor compatibility and use appropriate termination tools for the selected system.
