Adapters Between RF Connector Families

RF inter-series adapters provide a physical transition between two different coaxial connector families. They are useful in test setups, antenna systems, communications equipment, video installations and maintenance applications where existing devices use different RF interfaces.

BNC, F-Type and UHF Transitions

Common adapters transition between BNC, F-Type, UHF and Mini-UHF interfaces. These configurations can support legacy equipment, test connections and installations where different coaxial connector standards meet within the same system.

SMA, N-Type and TNC Adapters

Wireless and RF systems often require transitions between SMA, N-Type and TNC connector families. Verify the exact gender and polarity of both interfaces because similar-looking connectors may use different center-contact arrangements.

Male, Female and Right-Angle Configurations

Inter-series adapters are available with multiple gender combinations and may also use straight or right-angle bodies. Select the configuration that mates directly with the equipment while providing adequate clearance around ports and cables.

Impedance and Signal Requirements

Connector families may be used in 50-ohm, 75-ohm or application-specific systems. An adapter can provide the physical transition, but the complete signal path should still be checked for appropriate impedance and frequency performance.

Selecting an RF Inter-Series Adapter

Identify the connector family, gender and polarity on both sides of the required transition. Then verify impedance, orientation and equipment requirements before selecting the adapter.
