Shop HDMI switchers and matrix switchers for routing multiple HDMI sources to one or more displays. Wallco offers compact HDMI source selectors, multi-input switchers and matrix systems for conference rooms, digital signage, home theater and commercial AV installations.
Compare products by input and output count, switching configuration, supported resolution, HDMI and HDCP compatibility, HDR support, EDID management and control options.
HDMI switchers allow several source devices to share a single display or downstream HDMI connection. They are useful when a television, projector or AV system has fewer HDMI inputs than the number of connected sources.
Matrix switchers route multiple HDMI inputs to multiple outputs and allow each display to select from the available sources. Unlike a basic splitter, a matrix can send different sources to different displays at the same time when the model supports independent routing.
Source switchers are commonly identified by their input-to-output configuration. A 3x1 switcher accepts three sources and routes one selected source to a single HDMI output, while larger models provide additional source connections.
Verify the required resolution, refresh rate, color format and HDR support before selecting a switcher. The entire signal path should support the desired format, including source equipment, switcher, cables and displays.
HDCP compatibility is important for protected content, while EDID management can help maintain reliable communication between sources and displays. Control options may include front-panel buttons, infrared remotes, RS-232 or other system-control interfaces.
Determine the number of sources and displays first. Choose a standard HDMI switcher when several sources share one output, or a matrix switcher when multiple displays need independent access to multiple sources.
