Plunger Limit Switches

Plunger Limit Switches

Shop plunger limit switches for direct position detection, end-of-travel sensing and machine-control applications. These switches are actuated when a moving component presses directly against the plunger, making them suitable for precise, repeatable mechanical detection.

Wallco supplies plunger limit switches from established manufacturers in a range of actuator styles, contact configurations, electrical ratings and enclosure types. Use the available technical filters to narrow the products by series, voltage, current rating, IP rating and other application requirements.

Selecting a Plunger Limit Switch

Plunger limit switches operate through direct linear contact with a moving machine component, cam or mechanical stop. They are commonly used where precise actuation and repeatable position detection are required.

Important selection factors include plunger style, operating force, pretravel, overtravel, contact configuration, electrical ratings, mounting dimensions, connection type and enclosure or IP rating. The direction of movement and available mechanical travel should also be considered to prevent excessive force or damage to the switch.

Products are organized generically so plunger limit switches from different manufacturers can be compared within the same category and technical filters.
